NEW YORK – Junior midfielder Yannick Bright (Milan, Italy) of the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team will participate in the 2022 Major League Soccer College Showcase in Raleigh, N.C. Dec. 9-12 . There are a total of 44 guests at the event.

The four-day event will give the coaching staff of each MLS club the opportunity to view the best collegiate prospects in the nation, including players with remaining NCAA eligibility. The Combine is a closed-door scouting event officially sanctioned by the NCAA.

Bright was named America East Midfielder of the Year for the second consecutive season, while also earning First Team All-America East honors for the second consecutive year. A semifinalist for the 2021 First Team All-American and 2021 MAC Hermann Trophy, he totaled two goals and one assist for five points.

UNH went 15-4-1 (.775) overall in the 2022 season. The Wildcats went 6-1-0 in the America East earning the regular season championship for the fourth consecutive season and their fifth regular season championship in program history. UNH then won its fourth America East Tournament championship and made its seventh NCAA Tournament appearance and sixth consecutive. The Wildcats defeated Seton Hall, 2-1, in the first round at Wildcat Stadium and then tied No. 10 seed Florida International, 2-2, in the second round, but lost the 12-round match on penalties 10-9.

The Wildcats recorded 11 shutouts and outscored their opponents, 38-12.
