YWC x FA Euro week 1

The FA Euro New York season has begun, and as expected the first matches of the Usl League 2 championship (the fourth series of the United States championship) often spoke Italian thanks to the performances of the YesWeCollege standard bearers. The New York team has in fact kicked off its journey in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference, immediately showing off the eight YWC standard bearers who have distinguished themselves in the first races of the season. A start to the championship in which the yellow and blue did not miss anything: a victory, a draw and a defeat the score after the first three days of the regular season, waiting to take the field this Saturday for the fourth round, at home against the Long Island Rough Riders.

But let’s see in detail how the first three challenges played by the boys at the disposal of coach Balsamo went. In their seasonal debut, away against the Westchester Flames, FA Euro won with a sensational comeback: under two goals at the beginning of the second half, FA Euro first drew thanks to a brace from Gordon and then put the arrow with the goal scored by Santos Ferreira, Real Madrid school elevation. Among the guys from YesWeCollege, Bulfon, Favro, Caorsi, Zeqiri and Marconi took the field from the 1st minute.

In the second round, the first played at home in the scenario of field 2 in Central Park, Fa Euro imposed a draw in Motown, leaders of the Metropolitan Division. This time it was the opponents who came back, after the all-YWC Marconi-Begliardi duo had brought forward the yellow and blue of Brooklyn. But the final 2-2 is still a positive result, also ennobled by the MVP prize of the match brought home by Filippo Begliardi, conceded to scoring his debut in the league. Bulfon, Caorsi, Marconi and Begliardi were lined up against Motown.

In the third and so far last day, the first stop of the season for FA Euro arrived, which had to bend to Morris Elite with a score of 0-1. A quick redemption will then be needed on Saturday, back at home, against a Long Island that has won the only race so far disputed. The start to the season was certainly promising; now is the time to give continuity, to give substance to that race for the playoffs which is the declared goal of the season.
