YWCamp Final Recap

YWCamp Final Recap

Positive Vibes ! The recruiting camp organized by YesWeCollege that saw aspiring student-athletes take to the field, eager to begin the path that, for some of them, may end in the coming months with in pocket a prestigious scholarship and a plane ticket to the United States.

In the splendid setting of Piancavallo, in the mountains of Friuli Venezia-Giulia, about thirty boys showed off under the orders of two coaches of the caliber of Angelo Orlando (winner of the 93/94 Uefa Cup with the Inter shirt and with a twenty years of experience on the bench, also in the USA) and Stefano Romanin (former coach of the youth teams of Padua and Cittadella, and current head of the youth sector of Luparense). A patrol also strengthened by the presence of Yannick Bright, fresh from his first year at the University of New Hampshire (with a lot of appointment in the training of the best newcomers of his conference) and by three other “Americans” (Mattia Ferretti, Giovanni Pezzi and Andrea Scapolo ) already selected in previous events and about to leave for their first season in the States.

Five days of intense training, also enriched by a friendly match against a local representative that allowed the coaches and staff led by Nicolò Baudo to closely evaluate the talents, football and other, of the many young people present. A definitely positive experience on a sporting level and perhaps even more off the pitch, thanks to the atmosphere of great sharing and team spirit created by the boys from the very first hours of the camp, coinciding with the success of Italy at the Europeans lived with great participation and transport by the whole delegation.

Now, for the participants in the first edition of YesWeCamp, the path towards the dream of a student-athlete scholarship in the United States will begin. A stimulating challenge also for YesWeCollege staff, who in the coming weeks will be busy on several fronts given the upcoming start of the collegiate championship.
