Piccardo Joins UNH
Matteo Piccardo, one of recent Genoa FC brightest youth product, landed in the USA to start the spring semester at the University of New Hampshire.
After a visit during the fall 2022, Piccardo felt in love with UNH and the former national youth team and Serie C player decided that the NCAA was the best place to continue to play football.
The Wildcats are one of the NCAA Division 1 most competitive teams. They finished the 2022 season ranked #21. The Wildcats made Durham one of the toughest places to play in the country. The Major league Soccer have recently scouted several players from UNH including the n.3 overall 2022 Draft Pick.
Piccardo is an outside back with speed, technique and understanding of the game that will bring a lot of experience to the UNH team. YWC recommended Piccardo to UNH because of the fit in terms of style of play and personality.
Yannick and Matteo will represent Italian Soccer in the state of New Hamshire.
